The story behind our bird
The inspiration came from an unlikely relationship in nature. Dr. Shalini discovered the Rufous Treepie, affectionately known as the Tiger's Dentist for its remarkable relationship with the tiger. The story stayed with her. Years later, as Betru took shape, it inspired our Dentist Bird, hand-painted especially for Betru and now part of everything we create. A little reminder of what has always been at the heart of Betru: dentistry and nature, in harmony.
From sketch to shelf
It began with five words: nature, botanicals, Rufous Treepie, minimal, apothecary. Dr. Shalini and Mohita wanted Betru to feel different before you even opened the pack. That thought led us to the Dentist Bird. Rather than another decorative illustration, we imagined a little character that could become part of the Betru world: curious, gentle and distinctive, sitting among botanical forms as a quiet companion to your daily ritual, while the surrounding leaves and natural details connect back to the ingredients and botanical traditions that inspire Betru.

Why a ritual
Your mouth is home to a diverse community of microorganisms known collectively as the oral microbiome. It is part of the complex environment of the mouth, alongside your teeth, gums and saliva. Professional dental care is essential. And between visits, the way we care for our mouths every day matters too.
Betru was created for these everyday moments, considered oral care rituals designed to complement brushing and professional dental care. Because oral care isn't only about clean teeth. It's about caring for the whole mouth.
The daily cleansing ritual
Swish Pulling Serum is a botanical oil-pulling serum created for a clean, fresh, cared-for mouth, in the two minutes you already have.
01. Pour one capful into your mouth.
02. Swish for a couple of minutes, morning or night.
03. Rinse: spit into the bin, then rinse with water.
04. Brush as you normally would, right after.
